Trey Hendrickson officially hit the NFL open market after the Cincinnati Bengals declined to use the franchise tag, ending a lengthy contract standoff and making him one of the top edge rushers available. The Indianapolis Colts sit atop the board because ESPN’s contract projections have linked Hendrickson to Indianapolis as a reunion with former Bengals DC Lou Anarumo.

The Dallas Cowboys remain a major contender as well, with ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler indicating the Cowboys have monitored Hendrickson and are expected to pursue him.

Hendrickson is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, so if he does hit free agency, then The Field will be a viable option to get him, as most teams in the league could use him.
