Nazem Kadri’s market looks much different now than it did in January. Sportsnet recently wrote that a Kadri trade feels “all but inevitable,” while The Hockey News said trade rumors continue to link him to the Montreal Canadiens. At the same time, Sportsnet’s latest Calgary Flames deadline preview cooled the Colorado Avalanche reunion angle, noting Kadri is “no longer a fit” there because Brock Nelson has filled that role.
kobe.bookies.com has developed updated Nazem Kadri next team odds, reflecting the latest league buzz and Calgary’s deadline direction.

The Flames have Kadri, their leading scorer, under contract at $7 for this season, plus an additional three years. That is a fair contract for what he provides, though the team could opt to retain salary to make him even more palatable in a trade, particularly to teams who are hard up against the salary cap.
Montreal Canadiens (+325)
There have also been rumors that the Montreal Canadiens could look to acquire Kadri as the team tries to make a deep run in the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Canadiens are one of the league’s top young teams on the rise, and Kadri could provide veteran experience. The Canadiens are going to make a move or two at the deadline, and adding Kadri would be a massive get for this young team.
Toronto Maple Leafs (+550)
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been one of the teams most strongly linked to acquiring Kadri ahead of the March 6 trade deadline. Kadri played parts of 10 seasons for the Leafs from 2009-19 and was a popular player for the team before he was traded in 2019. He would be a terrific addition to the Leafs as they look to make a playoff push this season, but with the Leafs likely too far out from the playoffs at this point, the team may decide not to be buyers at this deadline.
Boston Bruins (+650)
The Boston Bruins surprised many folks by missing the playoffs last season, but they have bounced back with a fantastic 2025-26 campaign and seek a return to the postseason. General manager Don Sweeney typically makes several trades around the deadline, and with the Bruins in contention this year, look for him to pick up some veterans, such as Kadri, to help Boston’s playoff chances.
New Jersey Devils (+700)
The New Jersey Devils have been seen as a team on the rise for several years, but they haven’t gotten over the hump. Still, GM Tom Fitzgerald will likely make a few more trades near the deadline. After the Devils dumped Ondrej Palat’s salary to the New York Islanders earlier this season, Fitzgerald should have the salary cap room to pick up a solid player such as Kadri. That being said, the Devils don't seem like a true Stanley Cup contender this year, so the Devils may pass.
Edmonton Oilers (+900)
The Edmonton Oilers made the Stanley Cup final the past two years, but lost both times to the Florida Panthers. Still, with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl leading the way, the Oilers figure to reach the postseason again and go on another deep run. They are already a strong team, but picking up center depth would help Edmonton. Still, since the Oilers are the Flames’ biggest rivals, they would likely have to pay a bigger tax than other teams to acquire Kadri, potentially scaring off the Oilers from meeting the Flames’ asking price. Plus, the Oilers are tight up against the cap.
Colorado Avalanche (+1600)
The Colorado Avalanche were Kadri’s home from 2019 to 2022, and he had a strong playoff run in his final season with them, winning a Stanley Cup before signing a big-money contract with the Flames. Still, he was a terrific fit with the Avalanche, so it makes sense that the team would consider reacquiring him ahead of the trade deadline. The Avs are the Stanley Cup favorite, and could use a solid player like Kadri to help their team get even closer to the franchise's third cup.
The Field (+550)
Kadri will be one of the most highly coveted hockey players ahead of the deadline, so the field is a viable option to acquire him if the Flames opt to deal him.
